A neighbourhood with its own character
Dresden-Neustadt is part of Dresden, rather than a separate destination outside the city. It includes distinct neighbourhoods, among them the Innere Neustadt and the Äußere Neustadt further north. Around Louisenstraße, you are exploring the Äußere Neustadt: a residential neighbourhood with art, cafés, pubs and places to eat.
Leave room to wander here. Look up at the façades, browse small shops and make time between stops for a coffee or a meal together.
Explore the courtyards of the Kunsthofpassage
The Kunsthofpassage is a distinctive place to explore. Its connected courtyards show how architecture and art can shape everyday surroundings. Take time to notice the decorated façades and individual shops. Check access before visiting; the gates are closed at night.
From a neighbourhood walk to dinner
A visit to Neustadt does not need a packed sightseeing schedule. Combine a look around the courtyards with a neighbourhood walk, then settle down for a meal. Make Louisenstraße one of your stops: it is also where you will find Mumbai Masala.
Indian food on Louisenstraße
If you would like to explore different dishes, start with the starters and then look through paneer, biryani or curry options. Mumbai Masala serves dishes including Samosa Papdi Chaat, paneer and chicken dishes, with vegetarian and vegan choices on the menu too.
Use the menu descriptions to find something that appeals to you. Ask the restaurant directly about allergies, ingredients or your preferred level of heat.
